evacuation scheme was carried out and our immediate financial loss gave us before internment legitimate grounds for appeal, which is now increased by similar financial treatment of us as compared with that afforded to the "defaulters" covering the period of internment, which appears unequal and unfair.

9. We realize the difficulty of adjustment but suggest some form of separation allowance might be granted us, poss- -ibly in the shape of cancellation in our case of the 10% de- -duction for contingences should this become a permanent charge. This however has the disadvantage of making no allowance for the number of children in each family.

10. We would like to add in conclusion that we apprec- -iate that some of the expenses involved must inevitably fall on aur shoulders, but respectfully suggest that a share be removed from us.
